BRIEF: Design an artefact of interest that leads in to Studio Practice 6.
The human mind has a natural desire to be stimulated and thrilled.
Sometimes the experiences can be extreme, such as jumping out of a plane. Sometimes the gesture is subtler, such as throwing a piece of screwed up paper in to a rubbish bin.
These experiences become enjoyable to the user, which often leads them to linger in the acts longer or repeat them more often than usual. What would the users response be if these desires and experiences were present in a common domestic artefact?

The Light Controller has been designed to provoke, delight and surprise its users through its unconventional switch interface and design.
It also aims to become more of a visually contributing artefact to the overall design of interior spaces.
If the dimensions of the Light Controller were subliminal then it would struggle to meet this design intention, hence its extruded face.
